Last Chance is a benefit show that harnesses the power of neon to illuminate the endangered animals projected to be extinct this year due to consumerism. This cause-awareness gallery event hopes to spark conversation and, more importantly, provide resources to inspire more thoughtful, sustainable purchasing habits.

A portion of all proceeds will go to the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator (BF+DA),
a hub for ethical and sustainable fashion resources.

The Exhibition

The gallery will feature works by local neon artists James Akers, Kacie Lees, Stephanie Lifshutz, Keenan MacWilliam, and photographer Travis Emery Hackett.

What is the BF+DA?

Last Chance has partnered with the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator to provide information about the efforts and resources needed for sustainable and ethical fashion and design.

The Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator (BF+DA), a Pratt Institute initiative, is a hub for ethical fashion and design that provides design entrepreneurs, creative technologists and industry professionals with the resources they need to transform their ideas into successful, triple bottom line businesses.

Their Sustainability Lab (s.LAB) is an on-site sustainability resource center. In the s.LAB, one-on-one consulting services is offered for designers to create practical roadmaps to optimize the complete lifecycle of their designs in order to reduce human health impacts, ecological impacts, resource use, and incorporate ethical production methods.

A portion of all the proceeds from Last Chance will go to support the BF+DA initiative.
